Overriding the player color for one video

Sometimes one video needs its own look: a campaign with a special colour, a guest appearance, a launch day video. You can override the player colour for one video without touching your global brand colour.

Where to find it

  1. Open the video page.
  2. Scroll to the Player Color section, just under the thumbnail.
  3. You'll see a colour picker, a hex input, and a small preview swatch.

How the override works

If you haven't set a colour for this video, the player uses your brand colour (set on the Branding page). If you have set a colour here, that colour wins, but only for this one video.

Source When it applies
Per video colour Always wins when set
Global brand colour Used when no per video colour is set
Vidreno default Used when neither is set

Setting and resetting

  1. Pick a colour using the picker, the presets, or the hex input.
  2. Click Save.
  3. To go back to your brand colour, click Reset.

The override applies everywhere the video appears: the public watch page, the player URL, and any iframe embeds. You don't need to update embed codes when you change the colour.
