You can make it harder for viewers to save a copy of your video. Vidreno does this for you automatically on the shared player and on embeds, so there is nothing to switch on.
What Vidreno does for you
- The player does not show a download button. Browsers normally add one to the video controls, and Vidreno tells them to leave it out.
- Right click on the video is turned off, so the usual "save video as" menu does not appear.
This stops casual saving, which covers the vast majority of viewers.
This applies to the player people see when they watch your video, both on the public link and inside an embed on another site.
An honest note on limits
No video on the open web is impossible to download. A determined person with the right tools can still capture a stream. What Vidreno does is remove the easy ways most people would reach for, so your video is not one click away from a saved file.
If you need stronger protection than this, get in touch and we can talk through what you need.
