When you upload a video, Vidreno uses the file name as the title. That's rarely what you want for sharing, so renaming is one of the first things most people do.
How to edit
- Open the video by clicking its card on the dashboard.
- Look at the title block near the top of the page.
- Click the small pencil icon next to the title.
- Edit the title and the description in the inputs that appear.
- Click Save, or Cancel to drop your changes.
Only the owner of a video can see the pencil icon and the editing controls. Public viewers will only see the saved title and description.
What the description is for
The description shows up:
- On the public video page, just under the player.
- In the rich preview when someone shares your link on a social network. See How rich previews work on social media.
- In the oEmbed metadata used by tools like Notion. See oEmbed support for Notion and WordPress.
Keep it short and clear. A sentence or two explaining what the video is about is plenty.
